What data we process
- Data you send us: name, email, your situation (studies, internship, work) and whatever you tell us in your message.
- Data from the services you purchase: what we need to prepare your guide, your calls or your job applications, such as your CV.
- Technical data: our hosting provider logs technical data about visits (such as the IP address) for security purposes. Visitor statistics are aggregated and anonymous.
What we use it for
- To answer your enquiries and send you the mini-guide you request.
- To write to you from time to time with news from Rumbo a Suiza, if you gave us your email for the mini-guide. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email or by writing to us.
- To provide the services you purchase: guide, calls and packs.
- If you ask us to, to put you in touch with our partner insurance brokerage.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Legal basis
We process your data because you give it to us so that we can reply to you or provide you with a service (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures), with your consent where we ask for it (for example, to pass it on to the brokerage) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and understanding how it is used anonymously.
Who else sees it
- Google (Gmail): where we receive and store your emails.
- ImprovMX: forwards the emails you send to hola@rumboasuiza.ch to our Gmail.
- Resend: sends the emails we send you, such as the mini-guide.
- Vercel: website hosting and cookie-free visitor statistics.
- Neon: the database where we store the email and situation you give us when requesting the mini-guide, and the record of your purchases, hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
- Google Fonts: serves the website's fonts, and therefore receives your IP address.
- Partner insurance brokerage: only if you ask us for help with your insurance and authorise it.
- Stripe: processes payments. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe; we only see your name, your email and what you have purchased.
- Calendly: manages call bookings.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers are made with the safeguards provided for by law, such as the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Frameworks or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
For as long as our relationship lasts and, afterwards, for the time needed to handle any claims and meet legal obligations (for example, keeping invoices). If you only wrote to us with a question, we delete your data once we no longer need it, and in any case if you ask us to.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, object to its processing, restrict it, request its portability and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at hola@rumboasuiza.ch.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB) or, if you live in the EU, with the data protection authority in your country.
